I’m reading “The Fire Within” by Chris D’Lacey. I was asked to take some questions I had in my book and respond to them. The first question is (drum roll please) What is the value of Bonnington in the first 20 chapters. My answer to that is really kind of a place holder I mean he does become a little important because he Saves the squirrels from the trap but I don’t see the value of the squirrels to the book. I mean David does right a story about them to please Lucy but besides that I don’t see them. Any way I’m getting of topic, I was talking to Michael in the club and he said past 21 he became a major player in the book but wouldn’t tell me more and I didn’t want to know more anyways. I’m honestly hoping he comes out big like revealing the illusive secret of the Dragons Den and how it glazes it’s pottery without a kiln or how the dragons use some sort of telekinesis to talk. All right the second question is, Do you think Liz enchants the “special dragons” with magic? I said yes because how else could they talk to David. If they were just normal clay dragons then how could “Gadzooks” write on his notepad to David in his mind. I think that the answer to this question could be hidden deeper in the book. There is one more extension of evidence that I forgot to cover, it’s that the dragons make a hrrring noise whenever something is happening like they hrrred when Gadzooks name was chosen and they hrrred when Gawain was being repaired all making it so the evidence indicates the only possible reason in a fantasy book and that is magic, either that or a very loud malfunctioning fan. The only thing I have to say is that to understand the names and terms I put in this post is to read the book so good luck in answering these questions yourself and if you have alternate answers then please comment about them.
“Lightsabers” connecting with text
I’m reading “Star Wars the Labyrinth of Evil” by James Luceno and now I’m going to connect it to other things of text. Note, a lot of what I’m doing is going to be from movie script because there are a lot of connections from the book to the movies so please bear with me. Anyway my first connection is to the past ( I forgot to mention I’m also doing text to world) Mr. Luceno describes a battle scene on Coruscant Is kind of the way I imagine D-day where we hit Japan with a nuke and the entire sky exploded. In the text he describes it as “vulture droids tearing into the airspace taking out air-taxis and wreaking havoc across the city while other transport ships collided into the shields creating deafening roars and throwing everyone to the ground. That’s kind of how I think of a nuke hitting a city landing and creating a panic. The other connection I have is to text of “Star Wars Revenge of the Sith” the movie where when so many Jedi in Labyrinth of evil and during the “clone wars” could have killed Grievous they didn’t because Grievous got away and it is the same in the movie because on a space ship they launched Grievous into space but then he got back into an escape pod and got away I mean I find it sickening even at the cost of so many lives and droids he can still get away with a smirk on his metal face. That’s all for today so thanks for reading

An Ending Roar
I am still reading “The Roar” and I found the most interesting thing. The title of the book is near the very end. Shouldn’t that go into the climax because it is extremely important. Shouldn’t the roar come when Mika first discovers his ability to lift objects or move them around. Shouldn’t it have been mentioned when Ellie had blown up stuff in the start of the book now. Before hand it was an aside and not really important but now at the end of this monumental book it is majorly mentioned. I would have put it when the capsules came around and they started seeing the light trails and he was able to lift the marble and feel the rush of the roar for the first time. Another thing that surprised me is that Gorman chose Mika to be one of the final winners over Ruben. I know Ruben is kinda out of control but he saw his sister and if he got mad and couldn’t be contained then he could blow up the space station and kill all the important government officials and people in it. Not that Gorman or any of those evil people would’ve been missed it is just that all the innocent children aboard the Queen of the North not knowing what to do as they were being controlled would die for know reason. My point is that if he would’ve recruited Ruben he would be more manageable not that I’m saying there is something wrong with Mika he is just different and powerful and has a lust for revenge against the man that took his beloved sister from him. Only one thing left and it’s that I was really surprised at Ruben’s reaction. He exploded and nearly killed everyone including himself. It’s not like he just lost the right to keep his head or the right to have an unlimited amount of wealth. He simply lost a competition that half the populated world is completely alien to. I honestly going to say drop it and move on and don’t destroy peoples lives that had nothing to do with it and didn’t assist Gorman in the choosing. Now I understand why Mika was chosen over him because Mika has his temper in check and Ruben just lets it go wild. At the slightest slip Ruben will just go malicious and wipe out everything in his path and finish off all the stragglers, If it wasn’t for Mika during his rampage then everyone would be dead in the Queen of the North and an entire protest against the YDF would have been filed through and the world would be thrown into a chaos of murders and stealing and evil. When Ruben gets mad his maliciousness inspires everyone else to get mad and sets off a chain reaction that blows up everything.
Adora Svitak-Inspiring Speeches and Stories
I listened to a speech by Adora Svitak with TED talk. First She was amazing at speaking and created the speech by herself, second she was completely calm and controlled with some of the most important people in the U.S. sitting in the crowd. Adora was a writer and has a published book flying fingers that she wrote on “Microsoft Word.” I found it amazing that she could stand up there and practically reverse the worlds view of knowledge how adults should run the world. What I think is that Adora is right and the only way to change the world is for the next generation to do it. Now we can do all we can to clean-up the worlds massive toy box of nuclear weapons, violence and corruptness but we have to clean up our parents room when hey are to old to do it. All we need to do is find out how to help the environment now because if all the kids in the world do little things, all you little boys from Asia ride your bikes to your friends instead of getting a car ride or if all the girls in Seattle turn off their lights while they brush there teeth then we could make an impact now and save ourselves all the work later when you have a job to worry about and it’s hard. What I’m saying is that we’ve got the power if we really wish to have it. The children of today are the inheritors of tomorrow so why don’t we make tomorrow a better place today.
A Saphira-sized Surprise
It’s Drew and I’m reading the book Eldest on my own. First of all I want to get support for High School literature and Christopher Paolini. Yayyyyyyy!!!!! So I was reading and I saw something that struck me as surprising and strange. Eragon is a rider and is to be taught by the Elves so he has a scholar’s commitment to them. Since he is a rider and has been given the silver palm he has a commitment to the Dragon’s for without them he is a farm boy. Then he swore fealty to the leader of the Varden putting himself to her will. Finally he adopted himself into the family of the Dwarves or as they call it the Ingeitum family. What surprised me the most was that with this many loyalties if he gets called one place for teaching by the elves but then has to escort an important Varden message to some place loyalties will be crushed and there will be chaos. However this causes a mighty advantage against the Empire whom the Varden fights, because Eragon will basically be the second most powerful human after the training with the elves and he is allied against the people who fight against the empire making them enormously powerful. So long story short I’m surprised because the modest Eragon just blew up the balance of power.
A Winning Loss
This was a short story I wrote. It tells a tale of betrayals, friends, foes and a great sabotage that could lead to domination of a great power and eventually world domination. The only way to know what happens is to read my edge-of-the-seat Sci-Fi action.
GO!!!!!
“The Roar” in space
I’m reading a book called “The Roar” by Emma Clayton. The book is about Mika and how his sister strangely disappeared one night after leaving her fold down apartment. Now two years later her brother Mika will not except the fact she is dead. He goes to school one day where he usually has no real food or drinks or happiness. Today is different though because he comes into class where there are streamers everywhere and a real cupcake on everyones desk. after they all eat their cupcakes a person who’s skin is stretched across her face. She makes them all drink a thing called fit mix that Mika thinks is a poison and he rejects into the headmasters face. He gets detention which is basically a house arrest and is forced to drink the fit mix there. After that he goes to an arcade to play a game that is called Pod fighter. He tries it with a kid named Kobi who is at first the pilot. Then as Mika stinks as gunner he ends up being an excellent pilot and he gets onto the high score board as number one on his second try. Later as his skills progress he ends up entering a tournament where his gunner is a girl named Audrey. He goes and sails through the first and second rounds with ease and now he is going to go on a first class vacation to play and possibly win the third round. I know that even though he doesn’t want to take the Fit Mix he thinks it has something to do with his sister so he is going to risk it all to win it all. I have learned that if an enemy has nothing to lose then he is more powerful so when Mika has nothing to lose because all he has is his sister then he could be a fatal enemy to anyone who ever opposed him. I also learned that there is a risk reward in lying if you can lie well then you will eventually tower over all means but if you fail it can push you down further. If you want to read it by all means do it is a very good book.
That’s a wrap for General Washington
This is the last Post and if you want to know how the book ends well too bad I’m not telling you. I now you want to know really bad but I’m not telling you because this isn’t about about me and my doing something that you can find out if you listen. Anyways I can’t believe that Will and Henry actually got to go and get the guns. WARNING THIS STATEMENT WILL GIVE AWAY BOOK, DON”T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW. IF YOU DO WANT TO KNOW HIGHLIGHT THE FOLLOWING TEXT. So if anything I know that they were able to save the day and bring back the cannons. You’re safe now. So I know that they had incredible perseverance and I think that I can use this in any impending challenge. I think that even though the road looks difficult I can always break through if I try. I also know that when I can’t get what I want I have to be convincing and tell them why we would need this. In an ever impending water gun war this year we I know that even though those teenagers are bigger and stronger we can defeat them because we know that they have weaknesses. I also am going to use some of the strategy in this book because I am our chief strategist. I also took form this book that no matter how grim the circumstances you can’t give up until you fall. If you give up before the end result is clear you will never know how it ends just like an abandoned book. I know that now even when things look impossible and the trail is dark you can always find light within the liberty and the spirit of your cause like Will and Henry did. So in the end they made it to fort Ticonderoga and then began the back breaking trek back to Cambridge hefting cannons and damp spirits along. If you read that one sentence you know if they succeeded if you didn’t then you have to read the book for yourself to find the ending. If you enjoy or dislike the book comment your though ts and opinions.
“Extra Extra Guns for General Washington”
I’ve been reading the book “Guns for General Washington” but I’m only up to chapter 7 right now. So far it’s been really good, it’s about a stale mate in Boston during the Revolutionary war. The British navy is surrounding Boston but can’t attack the rebels that have locked them in because they are lacking sufficient manpower where as the rebels can’t break the blockade because there are to many lives at stake and because they lack sufficient fire power. Then Henry Knox goes out on a dangerous expedition to fort Ticonderoga to bring back heavy cannons to take out the Blockade of Boston. There was one thing that surprised me, that the war council let Henry go on the mission. It was approaching winter time and without permanent camps to stay at the chances of surviving a East coast Winter was slim to none. What do you think about the matter, do you think that this was surprising or expected? Comment on what you think.
Tales of the Greek Connections?
Zeus, Heracles and Hera
Zeus married a mortal who had Heracles who Hera was jealous of. Hera then tried to destroy Heracles by sending large snakes to kill him. When they failed she put Heracles on twelve extremely dangerous labours in another attempt to destroy him. He passed all the labours and then continued to become the most well known hero in Greek history. After he was born he was in almost every single chapter in the entire book, that’s 13 chapters! Zeus and Hera gave birth to so many gods that they had to be important. They are also the King and Queen of the gods making them all powerful over lord people. What I want to know though is why the other gods as important as Zeus and Hera? I think it’s because they didn’t give birth to as many of the great heroes as Zeus did. I also think it’s because most of the gods don’t have that many myths about them. If you think differently make a comment on why.
